My name is Candice and I am a member of what I call the Beach Diaspora. Born and raised in South Florida, the ocean was always a huge part of my life. So many joyful memories were created on the sandy shores of the beach and it became my happy place.
After graduate school my career path took me to several U.S. cities, many of which were far away from the coast. My love for the ocean never changed.
Now, I live in the midwest with my husband and daughter (also certified members of the Beach Diaspora by way of California). Whether through interior design, travel, art or cuisine, we are constantly finding ways to keep the coast close to our hearts and in our home. Turquoise and Dune is my personal homage to the beach and resort lifestyle.

What is the meaning behind the name Turquoise and Dune?
Although beaches come in all different colors and formations, the colors turquoise and dune remind me of the beaches I grew up seeing every day.
